Welcome to Gylden Financial!

Hello and welcome! My name is Nathan Amundson and I am the founder and main author for the Gylden Financial blog. My hope with this blog is to share my thoughts and experience around both personal and corporate finance. I have been working with clients for just under a decade and my passion is designing a strategy that both fits the client's needs while simultaneously challenging traditional financial advice and strategies. I believe financial education is severely neglected in the United States and there is a serious need to address it. My hope is that this blog can reach a wide audience to promote financial education back to those who need it most.

 

I currently work as a CFO for a small manufacturer and have dedicated an extensive amount of time in furthering my knowledge within this field. I also still provide financial services to clients in my off-hours. I am currently certified in both management accounting (CMA) and strategy and competitive advantage (CSCA).

 

My wife and I have been happily married since 2022 and are expecting our first little one in this year. We do already have one fur baby at home, a 1.5 year old English Golden Retriever. She definitely keeps us busy and we know she'll be an excellent big sister. In our spare time, my wife and I enjoy spending time with our friends and family, playing music, and traveling together. You may come to find our favorite place to travel to is Disney, it is where we got married after all!
